hi, how would I go about setting a color ramp on these circles with the Color node ? I tried "ramp from attribute" but I only had Position and Normal which didn't do much. Thanks!!
Tnx man, helped me alot!
Nice! Problem solved. Thanks.
thank you sir!
Very helpful! How would you chang the expression to make it scale down instead of up?
Hi there, I'm wondering if you can help me to get alpha channel in redshift after apply subsurface scattering material or transmission with depth? Thank you,
best redshift hair tutorial thank you man
nice one! something going wrong to me, I do not get stiched object like you and I dont know where is the problem. Do you have some .hip file to share?
thank you so much for making this, been looking to find a way to do this in native c4d for a while with not much success. Doing it in redshift makes so much more sense. Have you had any other experimentation using tileable textures instead of the brick node?
what if they all went black and none of these things fix it?
How did you put the background grid in the node network? never figured it out how
Perfect
Leg end !!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much sir, very informative tutorial that I have long hoped someone would teach this trick
Great! Thank You very much, Liam!
One sided inflation at 14.30 happened to me also, but when I set the top and bottom pieces in a different way problem is gone, weird
Can you explain what you mean by "in a different way"?
Hey using 2023 i dont have an environment tab in my redshift settings. Has this moved?
Merci
Awesome!
Nice tip!
Fantastic.
Thank you, sir!
Wow... Thanks
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Thank you ! Where is the hip please ?
Seeing the orbit of moon , sun , and planet supposedly kept the earth in a balanced conditions but extreme industrial activities help prevent that because of speed but it is elastic like rubber band once over threshold it either break or extremis responese
thanks for this video. It did what intended. Preventing a 3D artist from staying until 4 am
Another way is Point Generate (set to number of circles you want), Enumerate, Attribute Adjust Float pscale (set to Remap Attribute), and then Copy to Points. This way is likely faster than the loop. You also get all the controls of the Attribute Adjust Float to tweak the distribution of the circles, which is nice. i.imgur.com/B69sfJU.png
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank You very much, Liam!
You're welcome!
Thank you so much, one of the most simple looking and yet complex animations to do
Simon Holmedal is actually using this kind of system as a custom infection solver: ua-cam.com/video/A6haWzFj_Qg/v-deo.html (11:00).
NICE, thank you! <3
Thanks Liam, adding that polyspline SOP was great!
Thanks for watching Vic!
cheers bud! awesome tut
great tutorial Liam! Thx
Thank you!
hell ye, houdini is the best, keep the vids coming! <3 subbed
But but, you don't SIMULATE?! Jokes aside, great Tutorial Liam :)
Thanks dude! Simulations are cool, but have you tried not simulating? What a rush!
looks great, thanks for sharing.
Sweeeet love this topic it seems more traditional bread and butter mograph isnt covered that much in Houdini tuts. more mops and mops + tutorials would be so appreciated, its the best!!!
NICE! Thanks so much for sharing this.
You're welcome!
Very nice, but unfortunately you don't show the polyextrude node to understand how to configure it to work with the mops node
Combined should equal the total of the reflection value and the refraction value. If combined is lower, it will clamp these values. Hope that makes sense and keep up the great work.
great intuition ability to create😍❤
very cool to watch👆🧨
Wow, such a simple and helpful tip! I've always struggled with glass in Redshift and could never figure out why I needed to crank it way beyond the number of bounces I needed. Turns out I just needed to add one more bounce. (btw how did you find out that it ignores the first bounce? I feel RS has so many little secrets that the docs don't describe)
Great, but can you tell me how to use mask from geometry to activate vellum simulation in region?
Hi, I’m trying to export my hair object as a fbx to bring into other software, to do that I have to go to the generate tab and turn to flat, but when I export out I don’t have any hair textures. Do you know how to export the textures?
Unfortunately, materials don't exchange to and from different applications very easily. You could try exporting with USD depending on where you're taking it.
@@ProfessionallyIncorrect I’m taking my hair to character creator 4 and really all i need is the texture images and uv island. Like diffuse, opacity maps etc. I then could manually add the texture pngs into the character creator material . Any help would be much appreciated
Lets goooo, awesome video and using houdini is a plus! 💪
Thank you!
Transparency Depth is not limited by the Combined Depth parameter. You might also need to crank up reflections as well if you need those subtle internal reflections
Dude, cool pattern. Thanks for sharing.
This is great. While this is about adding quality, and thus raising render times, I dream though of one day seeing a Redshift tutorial about refraction that is showing how to speed up glass/liquid renders without a huge hit on quality..
Thank You! a quick straightforward tutorial! much needed
Glad it was helpful!
